For BlackBerry, Indonesia More Important Than Japan

For manufacturers of BlackBerry, Indonesia is considered more important than Japan. That is why Japan has not been included in the BlackBerry 10 marketing plan for a very small market share in the country sakura.

As reported by the Nikkei business daily, Japan is not included in the global expansion plans to introduce BlackBerry in the BlackBerry 10 operating system platform and its Z10 handset.

AllThingsD website confirming the news also got the same response from a Canadian manufacturer formerly known as Research in Motion (RIM).

"Japan is not a major market for the BlackBerry, and we do not have plans to launch the BlackBerry 10 in Japan at this time," wrote the BlackBerry in a statement.

From the data reported by comScore, as quoted from Mashable, Friday (08/02/2013), BlackBerry's market share in Japan can be calculated very minimal with a market share of 0.4%. BlackBerry biggest market share in Asia is still dominated by Indonesia, which was reported as 50% more.

BlackBerry Z10 himself will be present in Indonesia in March 2013 and will be bundled marketing through a number of authorized distributor partners and four operators who become partners such as Telkomsel, Indosat, XL Axiata, and Axis Telecom Indonesia.
